Sunset Cliffs was the perfect spot for a wintertime “Just Us Two” wedding ceremony. I love the raw nature, the soft light, and the incredible ocean views out there.
And, you wouldn’t know it from the quiet sophistication of this couple, but because these two are such huge Star Wars fans, I incorporated words of wisdom from Yoda – life philosophy to hold them in good stead in their marriage.

Photos courtesy of the incredibly talented Matoli Keely. For a “Just Us Two” wedding, I usually defer to the photographer to choose the angle, location, and timing for sunset. The light and background is so important to their photos, and with just a few of us it’s easy to get creative.

All the better to highlight that gorgeous dress!

This LA couple traveled down to San Diego to say ‘I Do’ in front of the iconic Hotel Del Coronado. On a beautiful breezy summer day, these two thought of everything to make their guests feel included and welcome, even supplying just the right footwear for the beach wedding ceremony.

Wedding Coordinator extraordinaire Susie Mintie had it all in hand and everything went smoothly thanks to her expert guidance.

This is a clever and multi-use idea for a unity ceremony!

This destination couple wanted to include a unity ceremony in their wedding, but wanted to avoid having to pack any accoutrement for the trip home.

Their bouquets did double-duty for the unity! A beautiful, natural, and efficient option,
to incorporate their bouquets.

“You have each walked down the aisle with your own bouquet of flowers. Each representing your individual
lives to this point.”

It was a special day in March, on the cliff outcropping, with the waves crashing. Bradley and Brenwynne said “I Do” in this gorgeous natural setting in an intimate wedding ceremony.

The couple chose the traditional Celtic “HandBinding” (or “HandFasting”) to share their wedding vows, and crafted the six questions in this ritual to support their own relationship and marriage.

As a nondenominational wedding minister I always encourage couples to include readings and poems in their ceremony that are meaningful for them. And the best part for me is being introduced to readings I haven’t seen before! Like this one, called I Know A Love.
