This LA couple traveled down to San Diego to say ‘I Do’ in front of the iconic Hotel Del Coronado. On a beautiful breezy summer day, these two thought of everything to make their guests feel included and welcome, even supplying just the right footwear for the beach wedding ceremony.

Wedding Coordinator extraordinaire Susie Mintie had it all in hand and everything went smoothly thanks to her expert guidance.

To one of the most generous, kind and downright happiest couples I’ve had the pleasure to marry, Congratulations Mike & Kyle!

This is a clever and multi-use idea for a unity ceremony!

This destination couple wanted to include a unity ceremony in their wedding, but wanted to avoid having to pack any accoutrement for the trip home.

Their bouquets did double-duty for the unity! A beautiful, natural, and efficient option,
to incorporate their bouquets.

“You have each walked down the aisle with your own bouquet of flowers. Each representing your individual
lives to this point.”

This review that popped up on Wedding Wire Dec. 28 is one of the best holiday gifts I could receive, and a pretty great wrap-up to a great year.

Sometimes I wish I could give my clients reviews and testimonials.

They so inspire, delight, and surprise me.

My purpose is driven by guiding clients to pause, notice, honor and celebrate, important moments in their life.

We don’t pause often enough.

A sacred ceremony or celebration is an opportunity to step out of all the “DO-ingness” of life for a moment, and experience the BEING-ness.

Time can slow down in these moments.

And you might experience a bit of greatness within yourself and your loved ones, that you hadn’t previously known.

In the new year, if you are . . .

planning your wedding

crafting a memorial service to say goodbye to a loved one

welcoming a new little life into yours, with a baby blessing

. . . please know that no matter how seemingly traditional your ceremony might be, you have so much creativity, beauty, and inspiration inside of you, and you can’t imagine where that can take you.

Taking the time to honor these times will make you shine, and those around you will be honored to see it, whether they are professionals helping you craft your celebration, or your dearest friends, who get to see you in a whole new light. And they just might want to give you a rave review.

A First Look photo opp before the ceremony is a great way to share an intimate moment, and take a little pressure of the 'big reveal' when she walks down the aisle.

This past week while volunteering at Deepak Chopra’s Seduction of Spirit conference in La Costa, I had a variety of duties, such as assisting with registration, guiding people to events, and manning the doors of the ballroom space. It was incredible to be among more than 400 people who were seeking a greater connection to the Divine, through Deepak’s programs and teachings.

One of the days, while manning my post at the door, I got into a conversation with an attendee.

She asked, “Do you work at the Chopra center?” I told her I was simply volunteering during the week for the conference.

SHE: “So, what is your job? Did you have to take a whole week off from your job to do this?”

ME: “I have my own business, so I gave myself the week off.”

SHE: “What do you do?”

ME: “I am a nondenominational minister – I perform weddings, baby blessings, memorials, home clearings.”

SHE: “But what is your church? Do you give services?”

ME: “I don’t have a flock, nor do I give sermons.” I shared with her that I officiate and facilitate ceremonies and blessings for sacred moments. And I don’t follow a particular religion. Instead I read books and learn tools and attend programs that will help me connect with God/the Divine. To bring that same energy to every service I officiate or perform. Whatever it takes, my end goal is to experience my own direct connection with God.

I have had this conversation often, in many variations and with all different kinds of people, and I so appreciate the questions. I think a lot of people feel confusion about spirituality and religion and how it fits into our lives.

Come join the conversation:
