Kate and Duncan held their wedding ceremony and celebration Sept. 29 at one of my absolute favorite venues for a wedding – San Diego Botanical Gardens (formerly known as Quail Gardens) in Encinitas.
It was a pleasure to work with Kate and Duncan in planning their wedding. Kate had such a clear and thorough vision, and Duncan was happy to see Kate happy! What a great duo.
“We wanted to thank you again for making our wedding so incredibly
special! It was a dream come true, and it would not have come together
without your professionalism, support, and patience. All our friends
and family complimented us on how magical everything was, and we owe so much of that to you. .”– Kate & Duncan

These gorgeous manzanita branches served to display the placecard “leaves” as table assignments for the guests.

The Gardens offer such a magical environment, and string market lights as well as an abundance of votive candles and twinkly lights complete the fairyland vision.

With the groom’s scottish background it was a perfect touch to have a bagpiper play after the ceremony and lead the guests through the gardens and down to the cocktail hour!

Kate’s unique touches such as burlap table runners, wooden chalkboard station menus, and mason jars wove together a complete vision of rustic whimsy.
